Toff Dave's twitter gaffe has had everyone talking after he turned the airwaves blue. You could forgive him for making one little slip but twice in the same interview? But this exchange after the interview explains it:
In a podcast made by the radio interviewer he recounted an exchange between Cameron and his female press adviser immediately after the show.
The presenter explained: "He (Cameron) said 'That seemed to go OK.' She (his press adviser) said 'Yeah, apart from the language.' He said 'Oh, yeah, pissed, sorry about that, I'm really sorry'." "She said 'No, it was the twat.' He said 'That's not a swear word.' His press secretary went 'It is'."
So that explains it Cameron didn't know that twat was a swear word. Clearly the standards in Eton are dropping.
And now Toff Dave wants an American style debate with other party leaders in the run up to the election. Sounds interesting but it would have to be on after the watershed what with toff dave's tendancy to swear live on radio.
